On Monday (6 Adar I 5782) Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Zhao Lijian said "The Global Development Initiative (GDI) aims at speeding up the implementation of the [5790] Agenda for Sustainable Development, practices true multilateralism, upholds the spirit of openness and inclusiveness and the principles of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, and stays open to all countries.".
